U.S. and Singapore organize workshop on regional cybercrime and intellectual property rights enforcement

The U.S. Department of State, Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security partnered with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), Singapore Customs and Singapore Police Force on the Third Country Training Program Workshop on Regional Cybercrime and Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement.  Held from October 15-19, 2018, the workshop trained officials from across ASEAN on the benefits of and best practices for protecting IP rights.  In addition, workshop participants took field trips to Singaporean high-tech software firm Creative Technology, as well as to American e-commerce company eBay.

This is the fourth workshop on Cybercrime offered through our joint U.S.-Singapore Third Country Training Program, which is an innovative capacity building initiative that offers training in Southeast Asia with the goal of enhancing connectivity, promoting sustainable development, and strengthening regional resilience.
