Passport Services
Apply for or renew a U.S. Passport

Notice

U.S. citizens in Singapore should renew their passports at the U.S. Embassy Singapore. Please do not mail your application to a passport agency in the U.S. Please schedule a different appointment for each person to renew their passport.

Notice

U.S. Embassy Singapore has limited American citizen services appointment availability to maintain appropriate social distancing for the safety of our applicants and staff. There may be increased wait times for an appointment. During this time, appointments for U.S. citizenship renunciation remain suspended.  Please email SingaporeACS@state.gov if you have an emergency need for a passport or other routine service. Requests will be evaluated on a case by case basis. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding as heightened COVID-19 related measures take effect.

Please enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive the latest COVID-19 and U.S. Citizen Services updates.

ARE YOU A U.S. CITIZEN WHO NEEDS A PASSPORT?

If you require a new passport, a renewal passport, or just aren’t sure, our simple Passport Wizard will assist you in determining your eligibility and gathering the documentation needed to apply.

There is no walk-in service for United States citizens who require a service related to passports, citizenship, or birth registration. These services are by appointment only.

Passport services are not available on weekends, or on Singapore or U.S. Holidays.

The processing time for routine passport renewals is 3-4 weeks. If you are traveling within the next 2 weeks, please see Emergency Passports for further information.
