Regular passport and Consular Report of Birth applicants may experience significant delays in receiving their approved documents due to reduced production capacity in the U.S. All U.S. citizens are encouraged to apply for these services, and any other appointment services, only if there is an urgent need that cannot be delayed.
Effective 23 March 2020 U.S. Embassy Singapore has suspended routine visa services until further notice.
Special Requirements for Entry
Work pass and long-term pass holders must secure Ministry of Manpower approval to enter Singapore prior to travel. Those granted entry are required to serve a mandatory 14 day quarantine at a designated government facility.
No short-term visitors from anywhere in the world are permitted to enter or transit through Singapore.

Social Distancing Requirements
The government of Singapore announced strict social distancing requirements take effect from 7 April to 4 May 2020.
All residents are required to remain in their homes except for essential travel. Masks are required in all public spaces. Violations of these regulations are subject on conviction to fines, imprisonment, or deportation.

Beware of Scams
The Embassy is aware of several COVID-19 related scams in Singapore. Please exercise good judgment and do not share personal identifiable information, such as credit card numbers or bank details, to unknown sources. Government of Singapore authorities will not request such details by phone. Please consult https://www.scamalert.sg/ for more information.
Returning to the United States
International commercial flights options from Singapore to the United States remain available. U.S. citizens who wish to return to the United States should make commercial arrangements as soon as possible unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period. The U.S. government does not anticipate arranging repatriation flights in Singapore at this time.
Based upon our most recent information, the following airlines are operating flights to the United States from Singapore: ANA, British Airways, JAL, KLM, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and United Airlines.
For the week starting on 13 April, there are 41 commercial flights available flying direct or via transit to the United States:

- 10 via Tokyo Narita
- 12 via Amsterdam
- 9 via London Heathrow
- 7 via Doha
Many travelers worldwide have reported unexpected flight cancellations and limited flight availability. If your travel has been disrupted, please contact your airline.
Travel Advisories and Warnings
The Department of State has issued a Global Level 4 Health Advisory for COVID-19.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Warning for COVID-19 in Singapore advising travelers to avoid non-essential travel to Singapore.
