Contracting Opportunities

The General Services Office of the U.S. Embassy in Singapore seeks to contract with responsible firms for the delivery of a variety of goods and/or services.

Below are current opportunities.  Interested companies must follow the specific instructions in each Solicitation/Request for quotation (RFQ). To be considered, companies must be able to meet, satisfy, understand and comply with the requirements of the Solicitation/Request for quotation (RFQ).

January 31, 2020

To: Prospective Quoters

Subject: Request for Quotations No. 19SN1020Q0508

The Embassy of the United States of America invites contractors to submit a quote for cleaning services on a boat.

The issuance of the RFQ is anticipated to be February 14, 2020. Interested quoters shall contact Meena Palanisamy (palanisamm@state.gov) in order to receive the RFQ document.  Details to be provided by the company are:

  • Name and address of company
  • Name of requestor and designation
  • Contact details – email address, office telephone and mobile phone

Companies doing business with the US Government are required to register in the “SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT” (SAM) when requested as part of the RFQ.  The entire process is free of charge.

Quoters should start the registration in the following order:

  • Apply for a NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE)
  • Apply for DUN & Bradstreet (D&B)
  • Apply for an account in SAM
  • Start SAM registration

As registration may be a lengthy process, interested quoters should initiate the registration as soon as possible.  The confirmation that the SAM registration is successful must be provided with the quote.

The U.S. Government intends to award a contract to the responsible company submitting the lowest priced technically acceptable quote.  The Government intends to award a contract based on initial quotes, without holding discussions, although we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so.

The U.S. Embassy Singapore invites quotations for make-ready work (interior/exterior painting, pressure washing, marble and wood floor polishing, etc.) at a government-owned residence in Singapore.

The issuance of the RFQ is anticipated to be January 21, 2020. Interested quoters shall contact Grace Ng (NgYL@state.gov) in order to receive the RFQ document. Details to be provided by the company are:

  • Name and address of company
  • Name of requestor and designation
  • Contact details – email address, office telephone and mobile phone number

All details will be included in the RFQ such as submission requirement and quotation due date.

Please note that all companies doing business with the U.S. Government must register on the System for Award Management (SAM) available at https://www.sam.gov

To register in SAM, a DUNS number and a NCAGE code are required.  There is no cost involved in obtaining these numbers or registration in SAM.  However, the entire process may take up to a month so interested quoters are strongly encouraged to register their business as soon as possible to avoid any delay in making an award to the successful bidder.
