On April 27, Conrad Centennial Singapore hosted participants from the U.S. Embassy Singapore-ITE Alumni Mentoring Program.
Student mentees learned how to conduct themselves while interacting in a formal setting and practiced social etiquette while dining at a formal business lunch. They also learned how to dress appropriately for different occasions.
Deputy Public Affairs Officer Cain Harrelson highlighted the importance of being open, adaptable, and respectful of cultural differences when interacting with people from different backgrounds.
The U.S. Embassy Singapore-ITE Alumni Mentoring Program strengthens relationships with alumni of U.S. government exchanges while providing role models and building resilience in young Singaporeans, many of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Past sessions were hosted by innovative American companies with a presence in Singapore, including Nike, Boeing, and Mastercard.
