Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross met with Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry) S Iswaran in Los Angeles on May 2, 2017. Both leaders reaffirmed the robust and longstanding economic ties between the U.S. and Singapore, and discussed ways to facilitate business opportunities for companies through the U.S.-Singapore Collaboration Platform Memorandum of Understand (MoU). Secretary Ross also invited Singapore to participate in the 2017 SelectUSA Investment Summit in the U.S. next month.
Minister Iswaran said, “Singapore and the U.S. share strong and mutually beneficial economic relations, and the U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (USSFTA) is the cornerstone of our relationship.”
